Who We Are

The Salesians of Don Bosco is a congregation founded by St. John Bosco for the service of the young, particularly the poor and disadvantaged. Inspired by this Italian Saint and Educator of the 19th century, the Salesians of Don Bosco are spread across 132 countries, involved in the vast movement of empowering youth through appropriate skills to earn a livelihood. The young people are the future of any society, of any nation. Our mission is oriented towards young people, to effectively educate, build, train, form, inspire and empower young people towards full human, social, vocational and spiritual development in the spirit of Don Bosco. At Don Bosco, the trainers are commitment to deliver competency-based trainings in Solar photovoltaic. We are committed to the environment and promoting gender and social inclusion. We emphasize quality over quantity so the initiative is aim to helped the youth gain photovoltaic solar technology skill to earn a livelihood and to assist to meet the growing energy requirements of people.

 

Our Vision

To be the best solar training center in West Africa in the next five years. To have six training modules covering all the topics of photovoltaic solar in the next two years and have at least six training courses per year

To give training to electric students and electric professionals in installation and serving of PV solar with the support of qualified and experienced staff

 Committed in training a maximum number of twenty-five students in each of our courses; this will give students the possibility to gain practical experiences without any hindrances.

Meet The Team

Don Bosco Solar is managed by two powerful teams, the training and installation team headed by. Christof Baum the director the director of the center and Mr. Paul Gbemou who is the CEO of Real Beam Electrical both have been working with solar training and installation for several years.

Bro. Christof Baum SDB

Christof Baum is a Salesian brother who have so many years of working experience in the field of electronic, electrical and solar PV. He is the director of the Solar Department in Don Bosco Technical Institute – Ashaiman. He started solar training the interested young people with electric background since 2019 to date. Thanks to his dedication and passionate for solar PV, the center is now one of the best training centers well equipped with PV systems to give out PV training.

Mr. Paul Gbemou

Paul Gbemou, He joined the solar team in 2019, He have many years of experience in domestic and industry electric and PV solar installation. He was trained on attachment in Germany, he is mainly responsible in all PV system installation. He is also the CEO of Real Beam Electrical Company.

Mr. Adbulbasit Miftah

Abdulbasit from Ethiopia was working with Don Bosco Institute in Liberia. In 2021 he joined the Solar Centre in Ashaiman. Mr. Abdulbasit has experience in domestic and commercial solar PV system installation, he is motivated in giving out PV system training

Mr. David Bakayona

David Bakayona joined the solar team in 2019, his main responsible is to keep clients up to date, listening to and acting on feedback, and provide clients with information they need to know about our courses. Also he organize the training and create visual communications such as adverts, publicity materials, and is responsible for updating the department website.

Mr. Dieudonne Nangoh

Dieudonne Nangoh is from Guinea Conakry joined the solar team in 2022 after studying electric and solar PV system.  He has experience in domestic electric and solar PV installation. Currently, he handled our French Solar training both in Ashaiman center and other centers located in French speaking countries

Mr. Dossou Hugues Espoir

Togolese as nationalit, I school at lycée of kpodzi ( Kpalime-Togo ) and after my BACCALAUREA, I join Don Bosco Solar in April 2022 for a training in solar PV advance professional and after the training, I did my attachment in the some school and now I am working as solar teacher in both language (English and French).
