Advance Solar PV Training
Description
The Solar PV Advanced Professional Course focused mainly on designing, planning and installation of photovoltaic systems. This course last for period of six months, the course takes participant through the step by step process of implementing solar installation from consultation of client, visit to the site and design, quotation and installation. Participants practice the sizing of PV systems and are equipped with the requisite knowledge that help to understand the Solar business and all the process required in becoming a qualify solar PV installer. At the end of the course all participants are capable to carry out PV installation up to 300kWh.
Target Audience
Electric students who want to further their skill and focused solar designs:
- Participants who complete electric training or apprenticeship
- Participants between 18 to 25 years are considered
- Participant who pass our entrance exam and interview
Accreditation
Currently there is no accreditation for Photovoltaic systems by the Ghana education Service. However, the six months’ course is the only course that is accredited by the German Chamber of Commerce (AHKs) network located in Ghana. Upon successful completion of the course, participants are awarded with the AHK certificate which is internationally recognized.
Course Level
The Don Bosco Solar training center is a department operating under the authority of Don Bosco Technical Institutes founded by the Salesians of Don Bosco congregation with the aim of providing young people with the skills required to compete for employment. The Advanced Solar PV training consists of both theoretical training modules and practice on hand modules designed to equipped interested young people with the required PV skills needed to participate in the growing changes in 21st century job market.
The Solar PV Course is open to young people between the age group of 18 and 25, who are interested in pursuing a career in solar energy with knowledge experience in electricity, the course is not for free, participants are selected through entranced test in electric and interview.
The Solar PV Professional course is divided into two training levels as “Basic Solar PV and Advance PV course”. In Level 1, learners have to complete 6 modules in 312 hours within two months. Breakdown of modules with sub-topics and time allocation as follows
Basic PV Professional Modules
