Course Overview

Don Bosco Solar is excited to announce the opening of admissions for the next cohort of the Solar Advanced Professional Course, which begins on 31st August. The six-month professional training programme is designed to equip electrical graduates and renewable energy enthusiasts with advanced skills required to succeed in the rapidly expanding solar photovoltaic (PV) industry. The programme combines professional knowledge, technical training, and extensive practical experience to prepare participants for careers in solar system design, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Learning Through Practical Experience: At Don Bosco Solar, the training philosophy is based on practical learning and industry application. The programme follows a 70% practical and 30% theoretical training approach, ensuring that participants spend time working with actual solar equipment and technologies. Participants gain hands-on experience through practical exercises, installation activities, and field projects covering:

This practical approach enables graduates to confidently apply their knowledge in professional working environments.

Applicants  should meet the following requirements:

Age: 18–25 years

Educational Background: Basic knowledge or experience in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related electrical field.

Entrance Exams: Applicant who passes the both entrance and interview.

Successful participants will receive an AHK Certificate issued through AHK Ghana (Delegation of German Industry and Commerce) after completing the programme. The certificate recognizes participants’ professional competence and confirms their training according to recognized industry standards. Graduates will be better prepared for employment opportunities and entrepreneurship within the renewable energy sector.
